Shawn,

I keep trying to get to where I can email Rockwell about the 30 day trial but it has me in some loop where I keep being redirected to the same place (nowhere where I need to be). Do you have a link by chance?

Thank,
Vincent

Good afternoon Vincent,

Thank you very much for your question.

First (for students who may not know) step #1 is to login to the Rockwell website. If you don’t have a login, it’s easy to create one, and totally free:

Next, you can chat with someone live using the below link (choose activations from the list)

Or you can fill in a webform letting them know what you need using this link:

You can also read more about Temporary Activations at the below link, which includes Rockwell’s recommendation to contact the activation people if your local rep can’t help:

Please let me know how you make out,

Shawn Tierney,
Instructor, The Automation School

Shawn,
Thank you so much. I will get on this now. Course is great so far.

Shawn,
That’s where I keep going into that loop. I also called and they won’t give me a license unless I have a business name attached. I can’t believe how tough they make things.

Shawn,
I can’t even get to any of those links. Every time I try to it sends me to another page that says “Knowledebase / Forum Registration Incomplete”. That has a link to log into the “Access Management Portal” to complete the registration. When I do that, it goes to another page that says “We’re Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again. If you’re still having trouble to call us at 1-440-646-7505.”
I’m all out of ideas, I’ve called and tried this multiple times.
Regards,
Vincent

Good afternoon Vincent,

While they do need a business name, you can use your name as the business.

In the USA, everyone has the right to Do Business As (dba) themselves using their name, which is how things work when individuals sell stuff on Ebay and Craigslist, and how most Sole Proprietors operate.

This has also worked for other students (it’s a required field on the RA form)

Please let me know how you make out, and if you’re still having into issues send me a message here on the site and I’ll contact them on your behalf.

Shawn Tierney,
Instructor, The Automation School.
